That's what I got on my test today. I needed 79% to pass, so I rejoice in my barely passing. Could be worse, and it was for some of my peers.
I need to turn this into a crochet blog of some sort since I signed it up as one. I started crochetting (two t's or one?) 3 years ago. My sister is an excellent crocheter and she had an afgan project she had started and was making specifically for me. Well I kept seeing it there not being worked on and I told her to "show me how and I'll finish it". She did and I did. It was such a great way to unwind and relax. Almost like a meditation. I did get blisters, which turned into calouses, but I finished and I LOOOVVE it.
So since then I have one afgan completely on my own, following a pattern I found and using yarn given to me as a gift. I have made probably 15 scarves, 7 or 8 of which are just total debacles. For some reason getting a scarf to work out well is a challenge for me. Probably because I don't use a pattern and just make it up as I go. A few have turned out rather spectacular but for the most part they are flawed. But crochetted items with flaws have their appeal too.
What I mostly enjoy making are "kitchen sets". Just with the basic cotton yarn in bright or varigated colors. I personally love to use hand made wash clothes and dish towels in the kitchen, and I love to make them for friends and family. They're quick and easy too, which is a benefit while I'm in school and working.
I just looked at the crochet dude's blog and website. He has a book of 10 dishtowels I'm going to have to buy and I'm also looking at his "Monet" afgan, I would love to make that too. But for now I'm working on two scarves and a couple of dish towel sets for christmas. I guess I need to post a few pictures of what I've made to be a true "crochet blog" but that will have to wait. For now I'm just going to post a couple of my big dog Bandit, then get to studying the repiratory system, does anyone really appreciate the importance of surfactent?
